To celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary (holy cow, that's a big number, still can't believe we've been married so many years!), the hubs and I decided to pack it up and leave the country for a few days. The choices were many in terms of destinations, but in the end we decided on some sun, sand, fishes and fun, which all added up to a special return trip to the Bahamas and the most wonderful Atlantis Resort.

Was it awesome? Hell yes! Am I both stress free and exhausted? Ditto--hell yes to that too. But we had sooooo much fun, guys. The Islands of the Bahamas are beautiful, the locals are wonderful, and honestly, I can't think of a single thing that could've gone better. Well, except maybe for the unplanned layover in Ft. Lauderdale.

No offense, Ft. Lauderdale, but I'm pretty much sick of your airport. On the plus side, all the downtime gave me time to cull through and organize my pictures--I've selected the best of the bunch to provide a little photo gallery for all of you. Enjoy! 

Good news! Little Girl Lost Anthology Crowdfunding Campaign

In a world of bad, bad movies, Doomsday was the one that finally broke me. That's right, broke me. If you've kept up on my Bad Movie Reviews--and you have, I know you have!--you'll know just how much I appreciate a cheesy, overdone but still highly entertaining flick. Doomsday, though... well, there's no sense beating around the bush. Doomsday is terrible. Not good terrible, not terrible, just flat-out, so bad I couldn't finish the movie terrible.

So, I'm making up for my overly long Bad Movie Review hiatus by offering up a double-whammy of awfulness this month. My latest piece de resistance? Oh, nothing special. Just a low budget SyFy original called Ice Road Terror was that was FREAKING AMAZING!

Seriously! This movie was cheaply made, super cheesy and included a random sampling of supporting actors from Battlestar Galactica. In short, it was terrible. AND I LOVE IT!

I'll admit up front that this one is long overdue. Work happened, life happened, and, well... I think you've all been there. But I'm back now with some entertainment (by which I mean snark and ranting, of course) and in honor of the new Castle Rock show which I haven't actually seen yet but am simply dying to sample, I decided to watch a Stephen King flick.

That's why I chose Maximum Overdrive.

Anyway, my latest installment is a classic sci-fi flick from the 1970s starring James Caan. Yup, that's right: the same James Caan that was in The Godfather, only this time he's on rollerskates.

So, I was struggling this month, trying to figure out what movie to review. I mean, there are so many bad-good (and bad-bad, and really, really bad-bad) movies out there to choose from, but I just couldn't find one that felt right.

And then the SyFy Channel stepped in and saved the day. By which I mean screwed me over royally by tricking me into watching a crap fest of a movie!

Ahem. But I digress.

Thanks to the marvelous Lilyn G. at SciFiAndScary, who (for unknown reasons) not only puts up with my snarky babbling about bad movies but actually encourages it, I'm back with another Bad Movie Review.
